It's not kosher as in kosher food, which is what most people have heard about. Rather is refers to a particular level of modesty between the sexes. For example, married women keep their heads covered while in public, and do not dress in the manner of a Madonna or B. Spears.

A man would not engage a woman in casual conversation, nor would he be comfortable around women in bathing attire, where their shape is visible.

Please, no one call it quaint or old-fashioned, or sexist. It is a lifestyle based on a particular understanding of the Bible. There is a lot to be said for it.

Sorry, must have missed a post somewhere. Did someone refer to food, or make a negative remark?

Hmm, I noticed earlier that some posts disappeared from this thread for awhile, then came back.

sorry, that was me. i merged Kdiver's two threads into one, and you might have caught me in the middle of that.

Welcome to the board.

Hi there, and welcome. Along with other members, I hope you come back and visit often. I hope you will always be able to find dive buddies to enjoy the under water world.

I don't think you would have any such problem diving here in the Pacific Northwest... and we rank very high in Rodale's goofy polls of best dive locations.... obviously due to all the voters being recent OW graduates... but I digress... maybe cold water diving is the answer.

I guarantee everyone is fully clothed!
