serated kitchen knife DIR on left belt. Compass clipped on right D-ring...never use this Dring and I find that my shoulder gets tired holding my elbow out to keep straight.

I'm a righty. The knife is on the left outside of the bcd. I have a long shoulder strap with a D ring on the left side. It holds my compass with a velcro strap. It also holds an emergency signal mirror.

We have had this discussion amongst our diving coworkers in the office and it has been decided that the best place for the Dive knife is firmly between your buddies shoulder blades! This way you always know where it is and can access it with either hand easily! :cut:

Knife on the left side of my waist band. Compass on my left wrist. Depth/bottom timer on my right wrist. Ask me why.

I have a BC knife on my inflator hose for quick access and a titanium strapped to the pocket of my drysuit.
As for my compass i have that strapped to the strap of my BD. I look down adn there it is!

Small knife with line cutter on left waist band between D-ring and crotch strap. The compass, when necessary, is clipped to the right shoulder d-ring with a retractor, when not, it's stored in accessory pocket located between belt buckle and right waist d-ring.

Compass on my left wrist with my knife mounted horizontally (tip facing my left) on the front pocket flat (Black Diamond has a mount point there).
