Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh....True love.

LOL - Guess who just bought a weezle.

You'll need them ;) We've recently hit some our lowest temps of the year. We logged 49-50F on the Yukon yesterday morning ... not sure what the temps on the island. So, are you folks still thinking about heading over on Thurs, perhaps diving the Point ?

Sat & Sun -> SCUBA Show - Long Beach Convention Center.
Monday - Get out of Dodge. :)

I'll remind NetDoc to bring stickers ;)

NetDoc:
Guys! Come on! You are acting like a bunch of Cali Cuties here. It's only 50 degrees! You don't have to be Conan the Cold Water Barbarian to do that. :D

You don't?

Hey, folks, you can always swim in the upper few feet of the water column. It's fairly toasty there. I'm guessing things will settle a bit by then and m id-water depths will be warmer than they are at present.

I wear a 7mm hooded vest under a 7mm full wetsuit, but people tell me my exposure protection is probably the equivalent of a 3mm since it has about 500 dives on it and several "holes" (chunnels?).

Pete, a good 3mm might be just fine... if you have nerves of steel.

Reminds me of a line from Simon Birch: "..mine are like BBs"

Missed ya by just a smidge ... Cheng and I will be flying in the evening of the 31st, diving the mainland on Friday and be arriving on Catalina Friday evening ... we're booked with the King Neptune on Saturday, June 02 and plan to dive Casino Point on the 3rd.

... Bob (Grateful Diver)

Surface temp apparently warmed up to 66 degrees the day of the fire, but has dropped back down to 61 as of today (per the same dive instructor and computer).

I've heard reports of 25-30 ft vis in the dive park and 50-60 ft at Ship Rock.

Come on SoCal divers... get out here and join us on the 31st. We only have three and we need 4 for the boat to go out and 6 for a three-tank dive (is there any other kind?).

You mean they're not all 3 tank dives :11:

I hope we can get 3 more people.

Sure Howard, lure me out to Ft Lauderdale, then make a run for some SoCal diving. ;)
