There are couple of places we use right off Duval. Courtneys and Courtneys place too, Island City house,Ambrosia and the Curry Mansion.

yup.
their website is totally bogus also. The pictures on it are NOTHING like what the resort is like. Only a couple rooms are on the water. the rest overlook the parking lot to look out over the hotel next doors beach and water.
it's nothing but an old dump strip motel that they put fancy furniture in.

Thanks for all the recommendations. I went with The Douglas House. I'll let you know how the stay turns out.

I personally like the 'rooms' next to the pool and ground level. But you can't go wrong with any of them.
Also the rooms don't have blow dryers but the front desk has them. So just ask when you check in.

Don't think I'll need a blow dryer. Half the time I'm sporting a crew cut.

I dig the Keys - wish I could make it down there more often. If you're looking for a nice place to stay and close to the beach I'd recommend the Grand Guesthouse Bed & Breakfast. Reasonable rates...great food... close to everything.
