I'd have to agree with howard, the boynton to lauderdale area has plenty of color and a fantastic variation when it comes to choosing different types of dives.

No offense but Largo in a way; is kinda overrated. Sad really considering it's a true preserve.

Of course the keys do have tons of other activities to enjoy if you want to do stuff outside of diving. Like the nice calm beaches, kayaking, taking the kids snorkeling, renting boats, etc. If that's something else you're considering.

I prefer reef diving to wreck diving. I enjoy beautiful reefs and marine life and take a lot of pictures. I do enjoy drift diving as long as the current is not outrageous. I also want to do some night dives.
It looks like Boynton Beach or Key Largo would be your best bets! I haven't yet dived BB, but look forward to doing so (with Splashdown) based on the good things I've read on ScubaBoard.

I have dived West Palm Beach and, based on your preferences as stated above, I don't think it compares favorably to Key Largo. Why not dive Boynton Beach AND Key Largo, and let us know what YOU think? Enjoy!
