Key Largo in March - 3 or 5 mm suit?

That's what I was thinking too. That (and a hood) would probably do the trick for me. But why take the chance? If I had a two piece 7mm, I'd bring just that! You can always add or shed half of it, depending on how you feel.

Brent! You dove with something like that when I was down last January! (and I was in a full 3mm and comfy!!) Your full suit and a shorty (with a hood! )

It depends on you. I have been diving with a Henderson 2mm shorter in 73 degree water in Ft. Lauderdale. There was a chill once in a while, but not uncomfortable. When I tell this to my diving friends, they tell me at 73 they are wearing a full 3mm and 5 or 7 by Jan and Feb. I can't imagine wearing much more than a 3

"Need" is such a strong word!

Trust me you'd have a blast!

No viz from 30-60 feet, 42 degrees at 75 feet! Your face only stings for a minute!

I've found a 1mm or 3mm suit works well when I put a lycra suit underneath. Most locals dive with a 3mm suit sometimes supplimented with a hood, vest or a hooded vest. Now and again I see people in just bathing suits BBBUUUURRRRRR.....
