blue water and good visibility have been elusive for the past few weeks offshore key largo in spite of nearly ideal topside conditions(minimal winds/seas). western edge of the gulfstream currently 8 miles east of molasses reef light. a double this AM @ MOLASSES REEF was no exception. sunny skies, light winds and calm seas. buoys M19 and M25. dirty green viz around 40FT, light current increasing to mdt, 86F @ 20-40FT. eagle rays still abundant south(school of 14+), various groupers(BTW 2 different marbled groupers), sharks and schooling fish. pics from TIMG,,,,,,,,,,
