How are the Jellies???

observed quite a few on molasses today(as well as on the ride out from south creek), scattered dense groups, tolerable, and majority within 10FT of the surface. definitely not worth cancelling diving over these numbers of moon jellies,,,,,,,,,

Sorry was busy all day and didn't get to the computer yesterday, but today was a great day, seas only 1-2, light winds and a bit overcast but the diving was great on the City of Washington on the Elbow. Looks like we may get an afternoon shower but seas are fine. See ya underwater.

Well if you live in S. Florida to Key West you know the weather report today!! RAIN! Man either hard or steady but it is wet outside. Winds are slight from the south and did talk to one boat who was out there and it was less then two feet except for the immediate storm rush you get but lets hope the clouds empty out today and we can get back to it....weekend is here before we know it. See ya underwater.

We were out on Picles yesterday and got mooned, clobbered by about 200 or so right off the back end of the big green boat. I had a student doing fantastic until she saw the Jellies, that was an experience. We moved off to the aquarium/south end of Molasses. Killer current till you got down to the grooves, but at least there we didn't get mooned. We all ended up smelling like salad dressing after the vinegar shower.

There is this strange shinny thing in the sky overhead, OH, it is the sun! No rain so far today and the winds are slight, 5-10 kts. so it is a go day on the reef, haven't got out there yet just leaving but suspect it will be 1-2 on the inside and 1-3 maybe on the outer reefs. So come on down and enjoy some 'no crowds' middle week diving. Remember it is always better when you are wetter!

Well, seas are less then two feet today wind from the ENE maybe 10kn, viz about 40' on the inside reefs and I heard 60+ on the outer reefs, overcast most of the day, but no rain to speak of and getting better tomorrow and for the weekend. Maybe this rain is getting out of here for a few days! Remember Sept. is a bit slower for us here in the Keys so come on down and enjoy the fun!

OK, back to the weather you love, 1' seas and not a cloud in the sky! Bring your sunscreen and come on down for a dive. Looks like we will have this weather all weekend. We are having fun today, see ya underwater.

Just got off the boat it is wonderful out on the ocean again, l foot, light winds from the ENE, AND NO RAIN! Gonna be 5 Knts tomorrow, so make your plans to come to the Keys for some great diving this weekend, boats aren't full so plenty of room so see ya underwater. - Capt. Slate

We have had some stellar conditions the past few days. Our 7 dives included in the past 2 days: Pickles Reef, Horseshoe Reef, Duane, French Reef, Molasses @ Winch Hole & at Wellwood, & night dive at Hens & Chickens. This afternoon headed to the Speigel. Sure hope the weather holds our for a couple more weeks.

You are correct mjsylver, it was a wonderful day on the reef, I had a great dive with only a foot maybe on the Elbow on the City of Washington and SS ledges. Winds slight from the SSW and even have died down to almost zero now. Vis was about 45-50' as well. Forecast is for 5 kn tomorrow so get the gear in the car and head to Key Largo! - See ya underwater.

I love it, another great day, shouldn't say this but it has been over a week without hardly a 2' sea! We love September, again barely 10knts from the south and less then a foot on the inner reefs, Statue area, and 1' on the outside reefs, Elbow, Molasses, etc. 40+ viz on the inside and much better on the outer reef. No need to think the weather is gonna change in the near future. So call and make your reservations for great Keys diving.

Wow, what a day (another one) barely 5 knts and less then a foot, man it is absolutely perfect weather and the viz is still holding at above 60' on the outside and water temp. still 84-85 degrees, maybe need a 3mil by Thanksgiving! or Christmas? Can't wait to get into the water today.

Key Largo Daily Dive Report, another fine day we have here, winds out of the west (best wind for the upper keys) about 5-10 knts mostly 5. Seas barely 2' on the outer reefs, haven't heard from the Spiegel Grove yet but suspect no more then 2-3'. Vis still 40' inside and 60' outside and water temp about 84 degrees, so what is keeping you in front of the TV? The Keys are waiting for you. Let's go diving.

Wow almost forgot, the weather is perfect again, less then a foot out there today on the City of Washington and 60+ viz. Slight north wind maybe 5kts. It is gonna be a wonderful dive/snorkel weekend, put the gear in the care and head to Key Largo now, still no wetsuit needed! Also, the moon jellies were not too much of a bother today, getting better!
