What about a nice place to grab a beer and bite after a dive? Everything looks pretty fancy online and I wanna go from the boat to a COLD CORONA!!!

Thanks for all the suggestions. VRBO I will definitely look at since last time I got a great condo through them in the Islamorada. I will also see the other places and then check with the dive shop for any special rates.

So what were your thoughts? It has mostly good, but some downright weird, reviews on Trip Advisor.

Bayside Inn was a decent place for the money and I would stay there again. It really depends on what your looking for or expecting. Great place to unwind after a FULL day of diving. The "beach" is really a pier with some sandy man made areas leading up to it with a GREAT sunset. There's a half dozen chairs and hammock to lay in, but tough to get a spot.

the bayside inn is located next door to snooks restaurant, noted in the link below. that photo was taken from the bayside inn beach,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Horrible news!!! We grabbed a nightcap every night at Snooks before heading to the room for some ZZZ's. I hope they have good insurance and plan on rebuilding.....

Thanks McCainiac. We are looking at Bay Harbor, which is a bit further down the road but hopefully not as crowded.
