Quick report today since I did AM & PM charters. Four dives today, Fri 6/20/25, with Horizon Divers all on the CheecaView with Capt Troy and mate Diane once again. They’re both awesome!!

We double dipped on the Spiegel Grove, mooring ball #5 again in the morning. It was sunny, 1-2’ seas, moderate current. Water was 83-84 F above 70’ and 81 F below. Beautiful blue water, 60-70’ viz. Absolutely full boat. 34/35 seats taken.

In the afternoon we did North North Dry Rocks & Horseshoe. Boat was 2/3s full. 85-86 F on both dives, 50-70’ of viz on the first dive & 40-50’ on the second. 1-2’ seas.

Back at it tomorrow morning with 2 more shallow dives.

Since I’m not diving tomorrow afternoon, I’ll try to catch up and post more photos.

... Beautiful blue water, 60-70’ viz.
Thank you for sending the great blue water up to WPB. It was a great day to dive !!

Two dives today, Sat 6/21/25, with Horizon Divers on the CheecaView with Capt Troy and mate Diane once again.

Today was two shallow reefs. We did Horseshoe & Minnow Cave at North Dry Rocks. Both sites had 85-86 F, 40’ of viz, 2’ seas with a noticeable surge.

I saw a spotted eagle ray, two swimming stingrays, two nurse sharks, several very beautiful schools of silverside minnows and all the usual tropical species.

Back at it tomorrow morning with 2 more dips on the Spiegel Grove to wrap up the trip.

This afternoon I hit another @Johnoly recommendation … Key Lime Pie Factory in Tavernier. You can get your pie multiple ways, including with whipped cream, meringue, or even chocolate dipped! I chose mine with meringue because that’s how I prefer cream pies. It was outstanding!! Based upon the steady stream of folks coming in to get pie and other goodies, it is quite popular.

Blue blue water!
You definitely got the best blue viz. And the Keylime pie is worth the short trip.

From so far away, that Stingray came straight at you, like you were calling him over to see something.

I can't imagine diving off a boat with 34 divers. I generally dive solo and would do my own route, I know the Spiegel Grove pretty well. It would probably turn out OK though I would generally want less divers.
