Kentucky Scuba is Dead

I haven't camped since I left Colorado in 1984, I would miss my creature
comforts. Lake city is 35 minutes from Ginnie, and has many good restaurants
available. I guess I could forgo some comforts and purchase a sleeping bag
and sleep in the car at Ginnie.

Chris are you feeling all right??!! You camp?! I don't know if I could camp with the over night temps being anything above 50..I kinda liked that 41 degrees at Joe's last fall. Crisp fall morning air..mmmm

Sounds like we have a good group going. I MIGHT have a problem with work. Not sure as of now but should know more by the end of the week. Construction, gotta love it and take it when you can get it. Unless work bumps me out I am in for anyplace and for sure in for camping.

This is eating into my UW video set up but it can wait.

How about posting that the group is going and see if we can get any Florida divers to join us? Maybe do a shore dive or two. There has got to be at least one beach that the Spring Breaker's don't go to.

I sure hope you can make it, your culinary skills would make my hardship
a little easier to bear. We will see what kind of group we can get together
and finalize the dive plan. With 2 days of diving we will not be doing too
much traveling other than getting there and back.
Can you call a sleeping bag in a car really camping though?

I can bring the camp stove, now that it works. I don't think I am going to forget that night for some time.

I will give you the benefit of the doubt and call it camping.

BTW, how is the shoulder?

I have a WWII backpack stove, I may bring it along, just to say I'm camping!

Shoulder is SLOWLY healing, but heck, I need to do some diving, call it mental
instead of physical therapy!

I don't know if my version of camping could be called roughing it. After I set up the tent, blow up the matresses, unpack the cooler, setup the coleman stove, lanterns, and armchairs, it would be more like moving in for a couple of days.

The roughing comes when you have to tear down and load everything up to leave.

You may want to think about going to Crystal River. This time of year the Manatee's will be there. We stayed at a hotel on the river, if that is something you may like, I can get the name where we stayed... They have a dive shop on site and boats you can rent....

You know you should really not spread that cold to your co-workers.

I'd love to do Crystal River, we will throw it out to the group. I was down
in Fla. in 2000 and we called to see if the Manatees were in and they said
we should come down. We instead went to Blue Grotto the next day, and
guess who was there? The Crystal River bunch!!! I guess we made a good
chioce that trip, seems the Manatees were not in!
