snepdiver:
Hey Denise. The new guy already has you figured out.

Yes he is good....what was that he did for a living again...read tarot cards or something?:D

(but at least he admits I do have a sweet side hidden in here somewhere)

snepdiver:
I think you hid it well. HA.

Well, I do try :D ...you know I have to be tough and fierce to be a Lady Pirate and dive with the likes of all of you..

(but you know I'm just a sweetie...just don't tell anybody)

wmessin:
yet, many many personalities

(did I say that out loud?)

Welcome to the board. We do actually discuss diving; just not in this thread. Please check out the thread for the Deep Dixie Mega Dive trip to Key Largo. I am just down the road from you in Huntsville.

Howard

ps see Deggo, I can be polite when I wants to be!

Yeah, whatever Howard....just lay off the egg stuff.....that will get you flogged....

wmessin:
My only question is, in this whole new diving community scene that I'm jumping into, can I expect carton after carton of deniseastereggs, or is this an isolated case? I have to figure how safe it truly is down there.

let me try to give you a breakdown on the "locals." I am a fairly recent arrival to the group and even though I am a bit odd, I was welcomed right in.

I can give you a quick run down of some of the guys I have been diving with. These are the people who you should keep an eye out on the board, because they are the ones you'll want to be diving with.....

seayoda... the resident Destin Jetty expert. wise old sage, sharer of knowledge.

suprbugman... killer of flounders, master of all dives shore related along the gulf, and very knowledgable of the area's springs.

glenFWB... a fairly new diver, and a favorite of diveshops who sell air. but he does have dashing facial hair, and a charming personality (keep your women away from this charmer, they will never see you as his equal  )

knight1989.. you won't see this guy too often. military and workaholic, tends to dive his own schedule. but if you get to dive with him, he's a great guy. always a welcome addition to any gathering.

Mike_S.... um, mom said if I can't say anything nice....... :mooner:

paulwall... this guy has an odd, but excellent sense of humor. very fun to have at a dive. unfortunately he's from LA, and I don't get over that way often enough.

cmufieldhockey8... great girl, friendly and fun..... not so good at walking or papertowls, but a very competant diver.

kchFLA... awesome woman, even if she's a lawyer. wonderful hostess as well. she's been daring enough to have us in her house for dinner, more than one time!

MysteryDiveBuddy... if you thought denisegg was bad. at least this one doesn't post.

PerroneFord... he's not certified (yeah right), but he knows quite a lot about the GUE/DIR style of diving. he is patient and helpful. a great guy to know.

ClayJar... on first meeting he comes across as bookish and scholarly, but has a wry sense of humor that if you're not watching, it'll sneak up on ya.

jviehe... I haven't had a chance to dive with him much, but the few times he was definately a contributer to the fun had by the group.

Natebrr... another great guy. just wish he could actually join us for diving, and not just stopping by the dive sites to say hi.

ok, those were most of your regulars to the gulf and springs area that I have been diving with. there are a few to say hi to that post on other parts of the board, and dive down here occasionally.

Wayward Son... he kills things, and enjoys it. He's good with spearfishing info, offshore of Panama City and around.

Puffer Fish... He's up by you in TN, real nice guy, has the stories that demand a campfire.

Fish_Whisperer... another guy near you. Again, great guy to meet. Full of good humor and cheer. You will have a hard time not smiling in his presence.

Then, there is the group that comes down every year for VortoberFest.....

Theres the Kraken... he's the instigator, I mean, uh, creator of the fest (at least that's what I was told). He brings the evil black pot of Brunswick Stew. And beer....

Of course there's Uncle Ricky.... Now, you want scary tales of how things used to be in the "good old days" of scuba. He's the man to ask.

I met kently at VF 06... although I think he tried to prevent it by hiding his camp waaaaaaay off to one side. All was forgiven over Stew, I am sure.

And I can't forget WetHoss. First person I got to talk to at VF 06. Great guy and full of laughs. I hope he drags himself down to Vortex again this year.

There's a few people I just recently had the pleasure of meeting, and hope to dive with again soon....

snepdiver... Thanks for the BBQ sauce!

BRANDY... this man knows about cookers. So long and thanks for all the fish!

franckc420... this is where I say something nice about you

denisegg... sorry, she insisted on adding her. if I didn't she would make ALL of our lives miserable!

I think that is just about everyone. If I missed someone that I have been diving with... please let me know.

Well am I anywhere on that list?? I don't think so.....I don't count???
