I prefer bringing European or Venezuelan pastries to the crew for the 08:00am boats but Gerry from JDC told me that Jupiter Donuts was a crowd pleaser.

I showed up at 05:55 for a 06:00 opening and there was already a line of all variety of people - office workers, tradesmen, tourists, fishing charter crew, divers, etc.

Donuts aren't really my thing (and Jupiter Donuts has some over-the-top concoctions) but the crew's morale is more important than my tastes in things.

I like visiting Flannigans on occasion. I've never ordered fish there, but with all the fishing pictures and such, you'd think they would make some good seafood dishes. Order their nachos, I dare you. Their burgers are meh, but I've had good experiences with their steaks.

I'm a big fan of Brass Ring, but something has changed. My last 3 visits to the one in Riviera, my burger was grossly overcooked. I've had 13 years of good burgers, so hopefully the issue is temporary.

I'm going to try the Jupiter one this weekend.

We ordered our burgers medium rare and they were good. If a place is uncomfortable cooking a burger at least medium either; a) the cook is incompetent or b) they aren't comfortable enough about the quality of their ground meat for me to want to eat it...
We have a brewery around here that had a bad run of kitchen help after years of great food. We're going to try them again Sunday morning to see.
