Friendly grouper that shadowed us Sat and Sun on both of my dives on Bahama Brad's. Followed us the entire dive.



Beautiful schools of Atlantic Spadefish. Such fun to slowly swim through them. They always seem to enjoy the company.

First time I've ever noticed this. I believe it is a Permit (although outside chance it is a Florida Pompano) hanging out with a school of Spadefish. Pretty sure it is a Permit. Is it in the witness protection program??? LOL

Can the local experts confirm if it is a Permit, or is it a Florida Pompano? Thoughts? If it is a Permit, it is a juvenile I would think. Permit and Florida Pompano Identification

(UPDATE: Reviewing Florida's identification article above in detail, now I'm thinking it may be a Florida Pompano. But regardless of Permit or Florida Pompano, it was still unusual. I've myself never noticed that before.)

I think it's a small Permit, raked back dorsal anal fins.

I’m about 95% leaning to Pompano based on what I think I can see for color on their top side.

Great videos. The color balance is awesome. I don’t remember you having lights. Is it all post-processing? In any case they’re great.
