I'll be there but my infamous handcart with "Dr. Bill" on it won't. Managed to get a bumb knee last week, so I'm driving a white jeep to the dive park.

I'll be in my usual place (left side of the wall by the stairs). SB regulars often set up on the right side (what's wrong, did I pee in my wetsuit again?).

Did three dives yesterday, 3-4 planned for today. Sunday will finally do a night dive to watch the fireworks from underwater. I've wanted to do that for years.

See you all next weekend! Have a happy Fourth.

Well, if this week is anything like next week, there won't be any crowds! Dive Park was pretty much wide open yesterday and today. Of course if memory serves me right, that is not unusual on the Fourth of July weekends. Everyone else is off doing other things for the holiday.

Lot's of classes at Casino Point, right?

I've noticed at the Monterey Breakwater (the NorCal
equivalent), that instructors generally do not schedule
classes for holiday weekends. I suspect the same at
Casino Point. Mix in some divers doing "family holiday
stuff", and it gets real quiet.

Which means.... a backup for 7/10??????

Honestly, much as I like SB get togethers the last weekend was a nightmare tank wise. The trailer is just not set up for those kinds of crowds. nearly 3 hours for a private tanlk fill. Less if you rent, but still a major PITA....

Think I'll give this one a miss - but I hope you don't have similar crowds and Sunday you can all log on and say neener neener :11ztongue

Chris,

What about if we share a cart rental (ar a few) from the shop, and we schlepp back for fills... might it go faster than the trailer? If I remember that was $10 last time I did it...

Heh, mebbe Dr Bill will schlep us in his jeep - Dr Bill, you could make a profit this weekend! :eyebrow: :eyebrow:

I'll consider it, since it sounds like there might have been a Pac Star thing going, but looks like no space..... I need to get my new camera wet

I vote for a cash bribe for Dr. Bill for Jeep time instead of pushing a cart ;) !! Let's see if we can talk him into it...

You guys have got me a little concerned about the crowds on sat.does it really get that bad.Like I stated in a previous post I havent dove on a saturday at the point before, this may be and probably is a dumb question but are there any alternate dive sites accesible from shore reasonably close by that won't have all the students? Lovers cove??? isn't that on the other end of avalon or is scuba not allowed???
