Both. But I usually just go to the kiosk and put in $8.00 for the day, unless it's gone up in the last month or so.

If I park at a meter, will I be able to use a kiosk ticket to pay for the day's parking?

I vaguely remember something about changes to parking at BW since a few years ago.

Even if you are at a meter, you are able to buy a ticket. Just make sure that it is clearly visible on your dashboard.

Adm. Linda and I will be launching the whaler at the Breakwater on Saturday, probably getting
under way about 8:45 and back at the dock around 2. Stop by and say hi. We might turn up
at Buzzard's.

A trick with parking stubs: Slide them under the VIN number plaque on the dashboard. That way
they stay put. I got a ticket once because the stub had blown onto the floor, and another time
the stub blew out the window on the ramp. Just make sure the important part (with
dates and times) shows. I position the VIN number over the lines about 2/3 of the way down where it prints
how you paid (the last four digits of my Master Card is nobody's business anyway).

Awesome! I look forward to (hopefully) FINALLY meeting you CT!

MG - you are welcome to join us and we'll sort out a buddy topside.

Thanks,

Sounds like I'm in. I'm interested in the first two dives as I'm not certified for night diving. I will have to pass on the night dive. :(

Question I have with the first two dives; will they be scooter dives? Because all I have are fins and would be left behind. :(

Thanks for the heads up.... Oh will the sorting of buddies be a match? I've heard bad stories about the instant buddies; you get in the water with one and they leave you behind, might as well have prepped up for a solo dive.

Mike - It will NOT be a scooter dive. We'll all be finnin' it. You might find someone to escort you during the night dive - but that is something I can't vouch for.

As for the buddy thing, I will send you a PM.

Chuck, it will be nice to finally meet you at Buzzard's.

Mike, you can have bad buddies and good buddies. Of course there is only one way to find out. The best thing to do is go over a pre-dive plan and stick to it. If your buddy leaves you or does not stick to the plan, call the dive. Much can be learned on the surface before ever entering the water. Make sure to tell them the distance you want them to be from you. Hopefully very close, as in able to reach out and touch each other. If you do not feel comfortable with them, find someone else or do not go at all.

You should treat every dive as a solo dive and not count on a buddy. That way you are prepared with the proper gear/safety equipment and mindset to care for yourself.

So far I have had a couple of buddies that swam away with out paying attention, but I have also met and dove with many more divers that stayed right with me for some awesome dives. I know I will continue to dive with new people as long as they are willing to dive safe.
