Jamestown Bridge Demolition Photos

Well, they finally blew the Jamestown Bridge. Here are some pictures of the event I just took from the lab.

And you'll notice the new bridge is still standing, so I guess all went well.

My neighbor took her kids down to see that....I guess all those guys who use to fish on it are going to have to find a new spot!

Im gonna miss that bridge. I've always checked it out when visiting my son in Bristol.

Chris, thanks! I didn't know they were going to blow it up. Nothing like a good explosion to go with your coffee. Would have like to have seen it.

Last I heard they were planning to leave part of the North Kingstown end of the bridge as a fishing pier so as far as I know those guys get to keep fishing.

Nice pix - I wasn't sure when they were going to implode it. I checked out the WPRI website and they have video from various angles and speeds.
