okey doke - we're in wait mode. jameson's scheduled to be the 2pm case, which is nice because then it takes as long as it takes & they can concentrate only on him with no time pressure, but icky because i have a grumpy hungry baby all day. he *hated* the contrast enema yesterday - they put a soft rubber catheter a bit way up his butt & taped it in good & put in liquid & took xrays. he cried & cried, and y'all know he's not a whiner in general. he did good with the iv & blood draws - he cried, but just as a matter of form. that's way more real tears in a day than the whole time he's been home. but he had a pretty good night with the bowel prep & didn't really notice it. so we're just waiting...

he's rolling & kicking & chewing on his toys, and we're pretty still & chewing on our nails! :)

Prayers are said and thoughts are with y'all, B/D.

he had a lab result that wasn't good this morning. it scared the doctors, thinking something bad might have started happening since his last labwork. we didn't find out about it until about time for his surgery, and they were worried it might have to be delayed while this new problem started fixing, maybe over the weekend. then they put on their thinking caps. they decided he 'lost' his bicarb during the bowel prep. everyone reabsorbs it in their colons, and - hello! - his ain't hooked up! so they re-drew it and said if it was improving, they would take that as a sign that the cause was the bowel prep and not an underlying new problem.

and it was improving! so he went to surgery about 5pm instead of 2pm. the nurse in the room called about an hour ago and said they were expecting it to take about another hour, so things must be going ok!

keep those fingers crossed!

He's a tough little guy -- and you are an amazing mom! You both are in my prayers and I'm looking forward to some great news later!

Anybody have an update?

Praying for him to have an easy recovery. :)
