The weather sucked bad on Saturday morning, but I was out the door by 5AM regardless. Heavy rains, thunderstorms, and a couple unscheduled stops(previous nights awesome 3 mile wings coming back with a vengance!) put me in Marianna a bit late for the 8AM meet time. The rain stopped about 30 miles West of Marianna. Aside from a couple light sprinkles, no problems with the weather after I made it in town. Overcast skies and actually some rather comfortable air temps(low 60sF I think). I was at Edd's around 8:30ish and found Perrone Ford(holy crap, he beat me onsite!) and packetsniffer already there. Rick Murchison, Tom Smedley, and May May showed up just a bit afterwards, coming from a breakfast. We used Rick's birthday as an excuse for the get-together, couldn't have asked for a better use of it :) I believe he said it was the 21st aniversary of his 39th birthday - LOL. He wanted alot of diving with the goal of "Max Relax", I think everyone will agree that his goal was achieved. It also turned out to be packetsniffer's birthday.

Packetsniffer and I buddied up for the day and he ran me through a couple emergency procedures through is rebreather. I ran the primary and we opted to leave it for the course of the day. We took a leisurely pace down the goldline and hoped to make it to the 2nd "t", but I hit my turn around pressure around 1100'. Left a cookie on the 1st "t" on the chance we'd attempt it again later on. Had a relaxing dive in and back out, poking around even slower in the cavern on exit. Hit a max depth of 94' for a total dive time of 53 minutes. Visibility didn't dissappoint, excellent as always in JB.

An hour later, we were back in the water. This time just to putz around the cave behind the cavern zone and the beginning section after the fissure/chimney. Hit a max depth of 90' for a dive lasting 62 minutes. We never went any further than the frist breakdown. Ended up losing a couple line markers during the dive, which gave us something else to look for during the rest of the days dives.

Spent my 2:12 SI getting topped off at Cave Adventures and hitting up McD's for everyone interested. Came back with a bagfull of El Royale w/cheeses :rofl3: We scarffed em down quick and geared back up to hit the water again. This time we hung around with Rick, Tom, Perrone, and MayMay for the majority of the dive, but branched off and down the goldline at one point to retrieve our left cookies on the 1st "t". Spent a bit of time looking for the lost line markers in the beginning of the cave and cavern areas to no avail. Hit a max depth of 94' for a 48 minute dive.

Not even an hour later, we made one last dive on a last ditch effort to retrace our 2nd dive's profile(for the most part) in hopes to find the lost arrows. Still didn't find em, no biggy. I did notice the beginning of another jump that I've never noticed until that point - only seeing it because I was looking at the ceiling for floaty markers(LOL). Hit a max depth of 84' for a short dive of 40 minutes.

Couldn't have asked for better dive buddies onsite, comradery abound, and lots of great stories being told throughout the day. Rick, Tom, and MayMay headed to Vortex with the intention of diving the next day(word on the street says that Tom hit his 3000th logged dive on Sunday!). Perrone, packetsniffer, and I headed to Sonny's for some great BBQ(thanks PF!) before heading our seperate ways. Awesome day of diving to break a 13 day dry streak!

My only regret was not breaking out my camera(which I had in the car) and taking a couple pictures!

Nice one Mat. Sound's like everyone had a great time.
