jeckyll:Glad you are ok.
Good suggestion at the time, probably too late to be helpful a day later, albeit well intended. Minutes count heavily with Dcs.You're probably bent. Call DAN or else.
Kinda's goes with my above post. I imagine they're being told, but the Inst don't want to scare them out of diving.Michael Schlink:Sad, very sad- Who trained this diver?
Do you know my doctor, or date his head nurse? I'm one of the worst, putting off a DVT for a week so I could take my GF on some dives.havnmonkey:hey, it's hard to really accept that you might be seriously injured until someone tells you that you are. I've been in the EMS for six years now and most people have a tendency to try to cope with injury/sickness. It's natural. If the injury is not blatantly obvious i.e. you can't walk or you can't breathe, it usually takes some convincing to seek medical attention. At least he asked someone and will, hopeflly, heed there advice.
Glad to hear. I'd wondered how old you were, as random pains are more common among us old coots. I've started writing down my pains before diving so I can compare the lists afterwards.matva:called them... thankfully, i think it may have just been extremely minor or maybe it was all in my head. The numbness is gone and all i have left is random shooting pains around my body which DAN said is not typical of "the bends" (the random part). The dive was saturday and today is monday so any real problems would have already surfaced so i guess i'm alright. I am a fairly young diver (18yro) and very skinny... not sure if that has anything to do with it.
Don't see a link? Stick it in here if you'd like to...dpbishop:Here is a link to a DAN article on "unexpected Decompression Sickness" (aka an undeserved hit). It shows that you can get mild DCS while following all the rules. You should also search this board for threads on undeserved hits for some info on conditions that contribute to DCS. (eg. dehydration, excercise, jacuzzis) DAN recommends a 4 week lay-off from diving after a DCS hit, although it might be less for a mild case like yours.

TY, but I stole it from DAN or some other source.Nailer99:LMAO! I've been working construction for 22 years now, and that sounds like some darn good advice, DandyDon. Noted for future reference!
Only slightly bent, perhaps. There seems to be varying degrees. But a few hours after - maybe not. Just exhausted and relaxed?Kwbyron:... and I was exhausted afterwards, insanely fatiqued... but I slept well. I didn't really think much of it at the time, in hind sight, probably a bad idea....
