I went to the motorcycle dealer today and dicided to look at the new C50 Boulevard. Looked realy good. I mean really good!!!
I've been talking myself out of buying a cycle for the last 2 years.
Well I lost the battle today and it's all Andys fault. If he hadn't bought his a few months ago I would have even started thinking about one again.
So now I own a brand new 2005 C50 Boulevard. You know something I don't even feel guilty and my wife says she'll sit on the back and go riding with me. :eyebrow:
I love my wife :)
Here's a pic except mine has a wind sheild and back rest.

I'll have to let you know when we have our Poker Run at work so all you guys can show up.

Mazel Tov and a Blessing on your new Bike. (wow- that sounds really wierd, but there it is.)

ride it in good health.

Translates to a little over 800 cc. I looked at the 90 but I just don't need the extra weight. This is more than I'll ever use.

ARGH! Just when almost everyone is using cc, and I am used to measuring displacement that way, now Jap bikes are going Imperial!! And if you look at the Suzuki site for the C50 ,there is no mention of the metric displacement, even though every other dimension is first in metric then in imperial in parentheses. What, do they think that by listing the displacement in ci that Harley nuts will embrace the bike?! Sometimes marketing people really have no clue.

OTOH, the bike looks nice. Congrats on the purchase! I hope to get one by Christmas. so far my Aerostich has been sitting lonely in a closet for 2 years waiting for my financial situation to allow a bike again.

I was looking at possibly getting a chopper from a local dealer that sells bikes reminiscent of OCC's bikes. Then I worked an accident where a driver of a truck puled out in front of the motorcycle, smashed into the side of the bike, and took the guys leg of at the ankle. The road way did mor damage, and shaved a nice portion of his calf away as well, requiring that his lower leg be amuptated at the knee. Needless to say, this one accident was enough to discourage me from ever wanting a bike again. And it's not something I'll ever re-entertain.

Shortly thereafter, I got into a debate with a fellow officer about dangerous hobbies. He rides a sport bike, and he was arguing that SCUBA is probably more dangerous than his bike riding. I explained to him that SCUBA is no more, no less dangerous than I make it, but while I can focus on my own safety and actions to minimize my risk, he has to take into account his actions, and those of every driver on the road. Granted, when diving with other divers, their actions have minimal impact on my safety, but thats something I can train to deal with, something that I can prepare for, see coming, and act accordingly. In very few instances can another divers actions blindside me so totally and completely that I cannot compensate at all.

Maybe ya'll are braver than I, but I just don't have it in me to surround myself with less than 3,000 lbs of metal.

When I looked at it up close and personal. I was impressed.
Total with and the bull was $7500 and they threw in a back rest and wind sheild. Thats about half of what the Harley cost.
