Yes, we see this in SoCal as well. Back in the days when I bought 6-packs, I always cut the plastic holders. Then I switched to 2 liter bottles. Of course they are plastic too, but get recycled and are not something an animal like a sea lion would get stuck in. I, for one, wish we'd return to glass packaging... much better for the environment.
