I am sure there are lots of great places to stay in Islamorada, but I would like to share this recommendation with you.

Lookout Lodge

This place worked out GREAT for me. Rental rooms a few steps from the dive boat. An the dive boat is a GOOD one. This guy has been in the scuba business forever. You can swim and kayak and lay in the sun. Aqua clear water as smooth as can be. Just a short drive to where the "action" is. They take the boat out in the morning and in the afternoon. Leave your gear on the boat if you like. Your room is only 50 steps from the boat. Beautiful location!

ps: I was just now looking at the photos and I don't see any reference to scuba. It may have changed hands and the new owners do not do scuba.

Yep Don at Lookout Lodge use to have a dive boat about 7 years ago, but got rid of it and diving at the resort. Was a nice set up though and Lookout Lodge is still a nice place to stay.

Good Diving,
