Is this setup DIR?

The waistbelt pocket is different than the ACB ditchable weight pockets.

I assumed he was talking about the waistbelt pocket and not the ACB system. The waist belt is not DIR, but can be used when the diver doesn't have a canister light to properly route the long hose.

I would think the ACB system would interfer more with long hose routing.

The 5' hose doesn't need to be tucked in the waistband. That's the only difference.
