The one thing this regulator in particular has as a plus is the HP port; very few double hose regulators had provisions for a SPG. This one also has the "third stage" outlet (actually an overpressure relief valve) that some have used a converter on to provide an LP outlet (but the overpressure relief is necessary, be it the valve or a downstream octopus).

I used a new Snark 3 Double hose in the early 70's while my RAM was waiting for new hoses. The Snark 3 was the hardest breathing regulator I have ever used!! I was never happier when I got my Royal back into service.
