How about this from Leisurepro:
1. Blizzard regulator: $175
http://www.leisurepro.com/p-swdbzrbl/sherwood-blizzard-regulator
2. Sherwood Octo: $85 (it is frequently on sale for $85)
http://www.leisurepro.com/p-swdbo/sherwood-octopus
3. Genesis 2 gauge console: $94.95
http://www.leisurepro.com/p-gnscc6/genesis-2-gauge-compact-console-imperial
4. BC inflators: $26.95
http://www.leisurepro.com/p-aqulph/low-pressure-quick-disconnect-inflator-hose-for-all-bcs

All for under $382. It might be more than you planned to spend, but it only around $100 above the used reg plus service and parts. You also don't have to worry if the hoses need replacing

guess I'm going to pass on it then
I would that stuff is old. So hoses could be dry-rotted etc. It looks like the SPG is an old Farallon - I had one of those in the early 80's. The octo is a Sherwood Shadow - probably the same vintage so assume the other reg is also.

At $25 per stage you're up to $185 with service. The parts kit is probably another $15-25 or so - you probably need two. Assuming there's no corrosion underneath any of those hose protectors for all the years it's been sitting - new hoses aren't cheap.

You can buy a new fully balanced Deep6 regulator for $220 on sale now. The low price is not a reflection of the quality but their newness in the market. Deep 6 Gear 1st + 2nd Only Package - Regulator Packages - Regulators

Doesn't include gauges, octo or inflator hose ($20). Comes in it's own hard box so might make a nice gift.

It's a new company started this year by Chris Richardson - formerly of Hog/Edge. Check out the website, they have some different ideas on service (mail back to them currently) etc. or they'll give? you a parts kit for your local tech's use also. They have their own forum here.

From the looks of a poor picture, its hard to tell what it is. My guess for the 1st and 2nd stage are in the early 2000's and if that is the case I would pick it up if it worked. I have a set like that as my go to. I would replace the shadow because I usually use an old metal 109 as a primary and the Sherwood as my secondary. As for SPG's, they work 'till they don't, I still use 30+ year old SPG's because they work properly, and when they don't they are replaced.

For the OP, I'd probably go for the set linked to by @richmonddiver. New is good until you have more experience in evaluating gear.

Another thought is to talk with your LDS and see when they sell their rentals, or if they have any used regs or demos for sale.
