Dont be so self rightous dweeb. You are a part of the reason that the cruise liner pier is on cozumel just like I am and everyone else that has ever dived there, and the DM´s are there, MANDATED by mexican law as they have taken a course and are certified by the government as National Park Guides. This may not mean that they are perfect, but it is more than just about anywhere else in the world I have ever worked.

They didn't build it for me cuz I've never been there or did anything to lead them to believe that I ever would be.

I don't think I could get there if I wanted. Gravity would just naturally pull me towards Akumal...great caves and I hear some real nice ocean diving...deep...pristine...yep ixna on the cozumel thing.

Mike Nelson? What about Tom Servo and Crooooowwwww?

Who is Tom Servo?

Tom Servo is a reference to the wise cracking "robot" on Mystery Science
Theater 3000, a comedy television show in the U.S. which made an art form
of making fun of really bad movies.

I never realised how appropriate that was..

Guess again, Mark. You couldn't PAY me to go there, simply because it has become a mecca for poorly trained divers of the type who choose their destinations as much for the bars as for the reefs. I go on vacation to get AWAY from our shallow, infantile pop culture.

Further reason NOT to go. They are there because most of the people diving there need babysitters, and so, as a result, the standard for the least common denominator has been imposed on everyone.

And your point is? Iraq has more terrorists than anywhere else on earth, but that doesn't make it a feature.

If I had a little more vacation time and cash I'd be there pretty quick.

This may have been stated, but a quick reread did not reveal it. Regarding non-profit, I'm not sure why you would care. Non-profit is solely in terms of the corporation's tax status. If you are the CEO, your pay (and of your board and advisors) can be astronomical and still have have the non-profit status.

Basically, non-profit doesn't provide any assurances that people within the organization are not getting rich...
