We knew this part long long time ago.
It is about the Covid 19 that no one has any clue where it was originated from.
SARS COVID is the same respiratory disease as COVID-19. They're saying China. Australia stopped all immigration from China 2 years ago.
The mortality rate in Australia from the flu was around 350 per year. When COVID broke out it climbed to just under 1k. The people who contracted it were in their last stages of life, and had other medical conditions.

The average life expectancy for a healthy female is HK is at least 84!

I'd like to know why they didn't also test dogs in the neighborhood of those children.
The same reason why I don’t brush my cat’s teeth.

Covid originated in Wuhan in China and probably from the virus institute there that was experimenting with making new types of viruses.

Ha! You're on a real sound foundation hailing from Seattle. I'll simply consider the source.

Probably is the word!
It was spread from Wuhan. But does not mean it was originated from there.
Same as SARS.
Follow the science not speculation.

The title of this thread is: Is it possible to travel responsibly (during a pandemic)?
The most important consideration(for me personally):
Where would I like to go diving in SE Asia and are those places readily accept tourists?
NONE(Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines and Thailand).
So I will leave the "travel" part for the future.
Why limit yourself to SEA? There are other great dive destinations that are open. I went to Cocos in last December, Socorro in January, Maldives in March, back to Socorro in May. I'm now preparing for Malpelo in July, 5 weeks away.

Also since Indonesia is still closed, I reschedule my August trip to Sangalaki to next year and replace this year August trip for a trip to Isla Guadalupe to see Great White Shark, which is a rescheduled trip from last July. Then I will be back to Cocos in September, which is a rescheduled trip from last September and to Tiger Beach (to see Tiger Sharks & Great Hammerheads) in October, which is a rescheduled trip from last October.
