sometimes, a well chosen smiley makes all the difference between taking a comment as an insult or as humour.

And it's humour, not humor. I do it the Brits way ;)

Well, I am not sure if you accepted my apology or not... but I hope so. It takes a big Ape to apologise.

Pete! dude!

there is no need to apologize ... i don't think you meant any harm

seriously ... i just think i'm really tired of being so serious about what's best for the Board when that is not even my mandate ... so ... i guess this thread has shown me that the Staff don't take "the mob" too seriously ... so ... i won't take the staff too seriously either from now on

i will certainly do nothing to harm ScubaBoard, but i am not getting into fights that aren't mine any more (to the great relief of many in the back room)

hey ... maybe i should get you guys to PAY me not to say anything, huh?

It does Pete...

I wasn't really offended, more appropriately, I felt like :shakehead

- I believe, in the end... all we "the mob" are really asking for is just a little more communication from above with respect to why some choices are made.

I'm not talking about why people are banned. I think we've covered that, and it IS private between your staff and the banned party. If the banned party wishes to discuss it that's up to them. period... end of story on that.

More communication would help us mob members to understand why certain threads are closed, moreso than just a "it violated TOS" - well duh... of course it did, why else would it be closed. But if more specific details were expressed to the rest of the world, we would have a better understanding of the TOS, as it's being interpreted by you and your staff, without violating anyone's privacy. :)

Thanks for the apology Pete but you didn't write it. I do think that although it is being portrayed as humor now, it does refelct the feeling of the author. In my opinion, Colin is one of the top Mods here and as he said...

Seriously, that synapsis is as striaght forward to real honest addressable issues as it gets.

I believe him. That is my personal opinion of course.

Are you a tin foil hat man, or a metal colander guy? :D
Tin foil hat.. They double as part of a satellite dish liner with the colander, a cell phone, cat 5 cable and some tape if your making an on the fly range extender for your wireless! :)

what was that?

who said what to whom when?

inquiring minds want to know

Interesting that us lowly members are sometimes referred to as the 'mob'.

I don't think all members are referred to as the "Mob"

Just the ones pitching a hissy fit
