Invade Catalina Ideas (2009)

We are in the midst of planning an Invade Catalina for 2009

So far all we have is a the basic information:
The Scuba Show is set for May 30-31, 2009 in Long Beach CA.

Many ScubaBoard members will travel from around the world and country will want to attend around the same time as the Scuba Show.
Memorial Day is Monday, May 25th, 2009 So, do we schedule it for that (busy) weekend or for the weekend following the Scuba Show, June 6,7th?

Ideas accepted.

I too, vote for the week after. I think that the holiday weekend would pose too many challenges to a fun "invasion".

June 6th is my birthday. I think everyone should come to Catalina and help me celebrate!

Dave, I vote for the weekend after also. And I like the idea of having a more planned gathering during the weekend of the show (Friday nite, Saturday lunch, or???)
