I realize that most of the 20+ posts since the OP said he would contact me have been dedicated to stopping him from making such a dreadful decision. I promise that in working with him I will try not to kill him, and if I do well enough with him, perhaps someday he will be able to swim close enough to a GUE diver to reach out, touch the hem of his dry suit, and be healed.

I'm a GUE diver. I think boulder John would be a great choice for the OP.

I guess you are like Beetlejuice. Say your name three times, you show up, and then they will give anything to make you go away...

Thanks very much to everyone who has contributed. @boulderjohn and I have been communicating, and when both of our schedulesite meet up, I'll be taking his TechRec class. In the future, when and if Poseiden smiles upon my wallet, I will be looking at other classes as well. I don't think someone can have too much quality training, or find something in their skills to improve.

We gotta start charging for Referals.........

You won't go wrong with John, birddog. And if you do, there's always your avatar to consider.....

Seriously, enjoy it.

If Poseidon smiles upon your wallet it's usually because he knows how much lighter it will be when he's done with it! Those regs aren't cheap!

At least throw in a BPW for one of his dives :). That way he won't die not knowing how they feel :p

As long as he's in a BPW, GUE divers know full well that poodle jackets have cooties.
