Hi

I will be in Canakkale in Turkey for six weeks for work beginning the last week of February. I've been trying to find information about diving here on the internet, but am not having much luck. I saw that the diving season was generally from April through to fall, but I'm not sure if that means that nobody is operating charters or it's just not as popular in the winter. I dive in southern California, so I can handle that temperature water. Anyway, I was just wondering if I should haul my gear over there or not.

Thanks
John

hi

you can not find any charter boat or dive operation for winter season in canakkale area. because winter is very cold and stormy.

canakkale or gelibolu peninsula has a lot of 1. world war ship wreck. you must dive in summer time. after march.

pls write to me when you need any help about diving in turkey

best regards

Thanks for responding. Unfortunately I have no choice about when I will be there. I'm looking forward to seeing everything the area has to offer topside though.

Thank you
John
