I told my nephews that the name was referring to the owl. They called me a liar, and my sister laughed at me.

LOL, But I'm there for the men. Because if you go at lunchtime, the male to female ratio is OUTSTANDING. It's just like being at the World's Biggest Shoe Sale and they're all my size. :D (Just stay away at dinner time and weekend days, far too many families, upsets the m:f ratio.......so sad.)

Heck, I'd let you babysit me!
:blinking:

I want to meet you sometime. You sound like you would be fun to hang out with.
I have never seen inappropriate behavior at Hooters. It is too expensive for "binge drinking" and, in the establishments I have been in, there is a strict "no touch, hands off" policy. Also, any off language or disrespect will get someone escorted out. My son and husband thinks it a "hoot" that I don't mind going there. Our biggest problem with Hooters is the subpar quality of overpriced food.

I have to concur. The menu hardly ever changes. I've made numerous suggestions for new foods to add to the fare, and they have gone virually ignored. For the life of me, I cannot understand why they are willing to serve oysters on the half-shelf, but will not do fried oysters (since I don't touch raw oysters anymore).

Quit warning them! You spoil all the fun that way.
Kitty, you let me know where and when. We'll get all Kootchie Mamma'd Up and start at Hooter's. We'll let you boyz know where to find us. :eyebrow:

Have You Been There Lately??
I have, and let me tell you, I don't think that Place is EVER Going to be the same...
Lived there for five years (loved it)... but now - I don't think the oysters will be edible for at least a good 10 to 20.
I was there after Katrina, for roughly two weeks, during the "Mass Transitt" stage.
I saw so many things. The words/things that come to mind the most are: Death and Dirt, Disgustingly "Thick" Putrid Water, that literally stank of something like swap rotten feet. Lawlessness / Pompass Crime (both human(rape) and material(theft)).
I saw "Thousands" of poeple just Waiting for "Somebody Else" to do something / anything for them or their town.
I saw MASS STUPIDITY in action. (or is it innaction) In any case, it's safe to say that New Orleans should be called New Orphans becuase it's deffinately not Naw'lins anymore.

I think it made a life long impression on the boys.....
