Yesterday, at Macabee I lost a 75' finger spool with SS double-ender. Then, in the afternoon at BW I lost another double ender. Both belonged to a friend.

So I figure replacing them might be in order. As for the snaps, anyone know if the bulk orders available at the dog collar place (Diving Snaps) are any good?

Also, if you happen to be between the beach and the 55ft mark in Macabee, or along the BW next to a grayish rock, and find any of these items, please let me know :shakehead:

Those are the snaps Team CK uses.

If you just need a single, send me a PM at Ken@divematrix.com. I'll sell you one cheap cheap - we got plenty. No reason to buy a bulk pack if you only need one or two.

Team Kitty uses them also. I just got in a huge order of double-enders if you just need a few. I'm in San Carlos, so you can swing by and pick them up if you like.

Thanks for the offer guys, I really appreciate it.

I think my main lesson is: practice with gloves in the pool, cause bare hands make things TOO effortless.

Ben: By my calculations, if you follow me around, you'll be making at least $20/hr dive time. The only downside is you might have to use a lift bag to reel in the haul.

Have you guys ever witnessed the Breakwater Yard Sale?

When the beach is littered with gear from guys getting tumbled and spat out... (not that the waves are huge.. just new guys learning the ropes)

It's kinda fun... It's like playing Match the gear to the diver

Dude, you'll witness the SoCal version of this if we have any wave action on Catalina.

I think I'm about 197 for 231 (times I've found gear vs times I've dived the park.)

There is always stuff there.

I just got my PADI Search/Recovery Specialty Instructor Rating... Tell ya what.. Next time he goes diving... Ill off the SAR Class for 20% of the take on the stuff you guys find and recover.....

What do ya say???? HAHAHAHAHAHA

How about if I just take a $20 bill and toss it into the surf every time I dive? Do you think that'll appease the BW gods?

If so, what do you think the tax at Monastery would be? :O
