I hate to admit it but the colder weather is on it's way. Is there enough interest in Ice Diving to get a couple of threads or even a forum going?

I am in....... But,,, where?

Duane, Is your class a free workshop?;)

Sorry, can't give something like that away. :)

I just try it:)

BTW, where do you used to have an ice diving class?

Lets go,, I am in....January -- Iowa, first stop.

I've done ice diving classes in Haigh Quarry, Geneva Lake and a few local retention ponds in the Chicago area. I've run classes for fire departments at retention ponds they use for training. It really sucks that Haigh is only open one weekend during the winter for ice diving.

Well I am in this year for an ice diving certification. I missed it last year when we had a trip planned. Hopefully there will be enough ice in Iowa this year and our trip will go as planned. We have an ice diving instructor on staff at our shop. I need to get out and do a dive in my dry suit, make sure everything is working properly. I want to have enough time to send it off if necessary to have seals, valves or whatever replaced or fixed. I am considering adding cuff rings and using the dry glove system but have heard mixed reports on the ease of use in the dry glove system. I have a Bare CD4 neoprene suit and so far my undergarments are a t-shirt/shorts. I will have to do some looking for some thicker undergarments that will not restrict my movements.
