Happy 1st day of winter everyone. The weather has turned very south and it is cold. Lake St. Clair has a sheet of ice in the shallow areas. I am wondering what the situation is like down at Whitestar. I was thrilled to read Gilboa was clear yesterday, but weather is getting colder. I am hoping to bring some divers down to Whitestar next Sunday for a dive. If anyone is in the know could they post an ice update later this week.

I am sure it will be clear at white star next weekend. We dove there this weekend and it was 37 degrees with no ice. I do not expect ice until the last week of January. We hope to have the quarry cam working as soon as the power is back on down there. So you can check online

I hope to see you out there!

Quarry cam is up and running for today and it is showing ice on the quarry today. I expect it will be gone by the weekend...

Hope to see you out diving!

Thanks for the update. We should be down there on Sunday. Hopefully diving some new christmas presents (currently doing the Peanuts dance of joy).

NO Ice today and the Quarry cam is working... Wish I was coming diving with you... it looks like there were a few people down there today!

Dive Safe... stay warm!

There was Ice Today! A big surprise! Yesterday there was no ice! There was a half inch this morning... enough to cause a nusance but it was relatively easy to get through from underneath... the people who showed up had a great Time! this weekend will probably be ice diving!

Hope to see you!
