Thanks - I bought a retractable Suunto SK7 last week. I was about to buy the Sherwood but after reading this thread decided to spend the extra dollars for the SK7. should get it tomorrow - purchaced from Lesurepro - could not find any discount prices on this product anywhere.

I have the SK-7 and yes it is a great compass, but the band is totally useless. Do not get the one with the band, get a retractible version.
