To all the wonderful women of ScubaBoard:

Usually I'm way ahead of the game when it comes to purchasing birthday, Christmas, anniversary gifts etc. But this time I am in desperate need of help. My 15th wedding anniversary is later this week and I have been beating my head against the wall trying to decide on a gift for my wife. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

A little information about your wife would be good. What does she like to do? Does she like bangles. What about taking her out to a nice romantic beach with a picnic supper and put a ring in the wine. The 15th is the crystal. Ask her to marry you all over again. Candles and wine and chocolate dipped strawberries are always good.

Mark.
You cannot go wrong with a gift certificate at a day spa. Massage, facial,Pedicure, stone therapy, you have no idea how many time that has gotten me out of the "dump" with my g'friend!

When all else fails, I buy my wife earrings. You can get a very nice set for a hundred bucks at your favorite jewelry store.

My wife has a lot of earrings now. :)

Taking mine to Grand Cayman in Sept - but it's our twentieth. For the 15th, think we went to Disney World.

You're absolutley right I should have shared a little more info.
My wife is not a diver but she does love the beach. In fact we are heading to Curacao in October for 10 days of sleeping too late, eating too much, her getting very tan, me getting burnt to a crisp :( and of course me getting a few dives in.

Thanks for all the suggestions so far.

Mark

Mark,

After 25 years I had ran out of ideas. Here is one I came up with last Christmas, the other husbands at her work may hate you however. I set up a deal with the local flower shop to deliver a bouquet of flowers to her at work on the first working day of the month for a year. I gave them a price range to work in and they bill my CC each month. It was a big hit.

Herman that is so sweet, what a beautiful thing to do!... :10:

(a)Take her to a cozy restaurant by the ocean,(b) jewelry is always nice!(c) make her feel Xtra-special for the whole week or month!

(D)Tell her you LOVE HER :07:

Make her a beach at home. Do lounge chairs, get some sea shells and maybe a bucket of sand. You can get cd's of ocean sounds. What's her favorite drink when you go? Make her one of those. Do some seafood with it. Stick a nice piece of jewelry in one of the shells.

You can do it very simply, but make it so memorable!
