I NEED a Poppet for the 90's G250 ScubaPro

I need the White Poppet (new) style that has the double O ring and replacable seat. Does any one have one or is a dealer for SP that I may purchase one. My LDS is broke and not ordering anything and I need my reg serviced. I have there service tech doing it but he need the parts. Can anyone help me out.

Come on dude I dont want to but it is the only one I have within an hour of me and the ONLY ScubaPro dealer for prob 2 and I cant find the poppet on ebay so I have to look elsewhere.

Where do you live in Florida? With a little info about your location, I'm sure there's some fellow SB'ers near you who might be able to help you locate another LDS.

Of course, if you're looking to start DIY, then hop over to that forum and there'll be a lot of folks ready to assist you in your quest for knowledge and parts.

What's really strange is that you don't seem to have the option to prepay for this $7 part to get the dealer to order it. Something does not sound right, unless the store is going out of business and maybe owes SP some money or has a big minimum to fill before they can order.

If you don't mind paying a little extra, this is a common ebay part. You also might try to contact BlueWaterDiving on this forum; he's a SP tech and a G250 fanatic. He'll have the poppet.

I don't think that it is all that unusual that shops get themselves in trouble with vendors. I understand that SP and AL and probably others will send the shops merchandise with the promise that shop will pay in 6 months (or whatever time frame) when the gear is sold. I'm sure there has been one or more shop that didn't pay the bill when due and they were cut off. So to the shop, ordering that $7 part may require something like $15,007 in cash. Just my guess.

This shop apparently can not even arrange for the OP to buy the part at one of the other 50 or so Scubapro dealers in FL. Frankly, I'd be surprised if they will be able to pay for a C-card for their students.

DING DING DING you guys got it nail on the head. I cannot find it on Ebay I have looked. I am talking to other shops but they are real shy to just mail off SP parts because they either want the business (to service) or they dont want to violate SP rules. I just want a poppet that is it. My LDS sucks and are going out of business and have NO relationship with other shops cause they owe EVERYBODY money.
