I've recently discovered Burt's Bee's line of skin care stuff. It's all natural and absolutely amazing. I use tomato facial soap, citrus scrub, lettuce toner....their mask is amazing and I'm in love with their creme's and lotions.

Can't say enough great things about them.

Oh, I almost forgot their lipsticks....which actually feel just like their lip balm, but look like lipstick!

Peace,
Cathie

I just found Aveeno's shave gel & Body Lotion with soy. They claim that the soy retards the growth of hair and I really think it works.

I'm a big fan of waxing legs & bikini areas, but the growing out period is tough. I get my underarms done when I'm going on vacation (2 to 3x's a year) I'll try that new razor & see how it goes.

Two products I really liked, but don't know if they're new are:

1. Avon Skin-So-Soft Hair Minimizing Lotion. I think it works pretty good.

2. NO-AD Australian Style Dark Tanning Glitter Gel. I really love this product! I got so dark this summer. It has carrot extract, vitamin E & aloe vera in it. Plus glitter, so your all sparkly. You need to be careful though...this product does not contain a sunscreen. Although I never got burned while using it. And I'd sleep out in my hammock half the day.

I found out about a lipstick that won't come off- not over the counter. Very expensive but it should work for diving.I think the website is www.semipermanent-lipstick.com. It only comes off with a certain chemical. Vain I know but what's wrong with a little glam diving especially if you're on a trip.

If anyone has used this and knows let me know. Thanks!

The Long last lip sticks - I like the Max Factor brand - work great - really do not smear, leave stains on cups or glasses. They are kind of drying though, so I use sparingly. For makeup removal MaryKay Cosmetics makes a non-oil remover that works great, doesn't burn in the eyes.

I would really urge the waxing bikini line crowd to try to laser. My dermotologist was about $600 for lip & chin. My chin used to break out from hairs being pulled. Always had red dots from aggrevated hair follicles & acne pretty bad. Not since the laser! My chin is so clear! I'm doing the bikini & back of thighs this winter - cost is about $750. Follow up for a year is $1 per pulse. I am very dark, have thick ethnic hair, ingrowns are painful & unsightly. Currently a wax job runs about $50. So for the cost of 2 yrs waxing, I'll be relatively hair free hopefully for a long time. You do have to stop waxing for 2 months & let hair grow for about 7 days prior to laser. Check pricing & credentials - some states allow just about anyone to do it, some only allow dermatologist, some allow trained beauticians.

I still get my brows waxed & I too love a brazilian! Nothing feels quite so clean.

Skin care - Penhaligons - love Blenheim Boquet. Officially a men scent, the shower gel (citrus & pine notes) really wake me up in the morn. The body lotion is almost milk like - little goes a long way.

Am I slow today? What is brazilian?

A brazillian......well......it's a really really close shave.....down 'there'. It basically leaves you lookin' like you're 12 again. Don't know if I'd want to have that. Can't be fun when it grows back!

is a really close wax 'down there'. everywhere. You can wear your bathsuit bottoms if you are uncomfortable. Derived from Brazil where the bathing suits resemble dental floss. Wouldn't want those Brazilian beauties w/ tufts sticking out now would we?

hnladue - it really isn't that bad growing back in, baby powder helps, as does keeping the skin well moisturized. To each his own, some people really do not like body hair & I am one of them!

Can you imagine if guys had to get waxed?? Do you think they would require a general anesthetic?

I thought that was the kinda waxing we have all been talking about all along. I just never heard that name for it.

I just always said, "complete waxing." I learned something new today. Thanks!

I know this is a women's forum but I don't think that's what it is. This post belongs in the Medieval Torture forum. You women are crazy! OW! I hope nobody is going through all of this pain just for the opposite sex. If so, make sure that they know what they're worth. OW!!

:)
