Yes it has a very light trigger. I really like it. I used it in the advanced pistol course my wife and I took. I was more accurate with it than I was with the 9mm H&K I have. I will also add it was the first time I had fired it.

I may (someday) look for a 44 mag rifle. I don't know why, maybe because I just want one.

D, does your Kimber have a really light trigger?

I had (have, except my son has it now) a S&W 629 in .44 mag. Beautiful gun. I purchased for hunting. Had gunsmith take the single action poundage down to about 2.5#. About the time you were thinking about pulling the trigger, it was already down range. Worked great for hunting. A .44 mag will take down deer.

I have a .44 lever gun, very very fun rifle. Recoil is light with standard rounds and almost non existant with .44 spl.

Besides, stereotypes, or rather the use of them, can save your life. Imagine if you will the average persons reaction to a snake encounter. Out of all the snakes we have in this country, I think only four species are poisonous. Yet people freak out, scream like a girl, and run away every time they encounter a snake. Well, I'd say most people, anyway. Personally, I like snakes and know when to scream like a girl and when not to.

I have had snake to eat before. It isn't bad. I kind of like it. I just don't like the damned things when they are slithering around like a politician.

A .410 does a good job on a snake.

I know from experience as I have one these.
