I think I'll pass the diving, but I'll bet Laird Hamilton ant the other Big wave surfers out there are drooling trying to figure how to catch that wave.

Sure would make hitting the boat ladder a chore !! God help you if you missed it.... ouch....

I read an article last year about a study. http://boatdesign.net/forums/archive/index.php/t-4365
They thought rouge waves of 100 feet were very rare. Then they did a study utilizing satalites for a few weeks off Africa if I remember correctly. Bottom line, in the 3 weeks or so of the study they plotted several 100+ foot waves and determined they were "rather a common occurance".

A freak wave hit one of our reseach vessels while several people were working on the back deck. It was a bad scene...bruises and broken bones. At least it wasn't 100+ feet!

Laird, Dave Kalama and others are tow-in surfing 60+ foot waves at Jaws off Peahi(Maui). Insane....

watch the last clip of the movie Step into Liquid...nuts..if you have a subwoofer, trun it way up...(or down if you're sensitive)

Christian- Although it would be a rough entry, I'd be stupid enough to try it. Of course I wouldn't take my video camera!

Do you know if the Cortes Banks they show at the end(of the trailer) is the same one we used to go for bugs off SoCal?
