Welcome to the world of diving!!! Have fun on your trip to FL. Diving the warm water seems to make things soooo much easier. I was certified in Lake Michigan 14 years ago, and it was COLD!!! Now I live on Guam, so it's 82 degree water everyday, yeah!!! :) Congrats!

Hello and welcome to the subaqautic lifestyle!

There have been some awesome replies to your post, and they covered the bases perfect for ya!

All I can add, is I've been diving since 1985 and I'm just as excited now, as I was then! I was certified up in Ohio, so let me tell ya, it continues to thrill and chill me!

With your OW dive spots, everything else will be cake!

Again, congrats!

Congrats!

Congrats Nelia1978! I commend you on staying calm - that is scary on the first open water diver. That is also why I chose warm water to start.

Thanks..

I figures I live in Canada so most of the diving I will be doing is in cold water, so might as well do the classes where most of my diving will be... gives me more experience in the waters up here..

Cheers
