I am skeptical about a close friend of mine and her diving experience.

I just recently started dating a woman who claims to be a "Master Diver" who says she is an active diver.

Does she wear a boat coat festooned with dozens of silly patches sewn on it? Then she might be a Master Diver. I've been diving for over 50 years and I don't have such a coat or that "certification." Why bother?

Do you really need answers to scuba questions to prove to yourself what you've dating?

When you get a whiff that you're dating a drama queen, crazy liar, you're supposed to run away not ask others to prove what you already know.

So run away while you still can.

I once had a guy tell me he had dove to 600 feet deep on scuba with just air in the tanks. He was a construction guy here in Colorado, and dove "occasionally." I knew that was bogus, so assumed everything else he told me was bogus too. Actual diving is cool enough to talk about without embellishment. There are lots of very good truth detectors ( and bs detectors) here on scuba board. By the way, did I ever share about the time I dove with a green sea turtle that was at least 25 feet long ? Or the time I saw a 20 foot long spotted moray? You have to go down really deep to see that kind of sea life, for sure.

I have a friend like that who used to even involve me in his tall tales. One day someone asked me details about a story had told that I was allegedly involved in and I said in a loud enough voice that my friend could hear, "That never happened"

No more involving me in tall tales. It is hard to be friends with a pathological liar. It has caused a big strain on our friendship.

aah Weeze20 in the future there'll be plenty of times you'll be thinking to yourself "will X ever just shut up" similiarly there'll be times when your thinking " I wish X would just talk to me " so for now just sit back and enjoy her stories and remember one day in the reasonably near future she'll be one of your stories.
