After reading through the various threads here and reviews elsewhere, I decided to order a Citizen Hyper Aqualand. I currently use an Oceanic Data Plus comp and have been running the RDP on all my dives as well. I plan on using the Aqualand as a back-up while underwater and to use the computer interface to help keep accurate log information... something that I have been somewhat lazy about so far (barely recording more info than location, depth and time).

If anyone has any tips to help me get past the learning curve, I'd love to hear them. Especially if there are any "I wish'd I'd have or have not" stories out there. I'm not a good one for reading the instruction manual all the way through twice before playing with new gadgets...

My wife and I dive with Suunto Cobras. I bought a Hyper Aqualand for back up. Recently I bought a Mosquito for about the same price. Now she has the Aqualand for back up and I have the Mossy. If I had it to do over I would have just gotten two Mossys. A lot more information and functions for about the same price.

of coarse, the Aqualand looks cooler if thats important. :D:

Sure it is...

Like I said, I already read a lot of pro and con... decided on the Aqualand for a few different reasons. Now I am just looking for tips on using it.

Hi Duca

It's really pretty easy (otherwise I would have had troubles using it).

1. Use the "MODE" button until you get to the "PLOG" window.
2. Use the "SET" button to scroll from last dive through first dive.
3. Within the PLOG dive window, there are two windows for all information stored pertaining to each dive. Use the "TIME" button to scroll between those two windows. That's pretty much all I use for my logbook.

Hope this helps.

<<2. Use the "SET" button to scroll from last dive through first dive.>>

If you scroll past the dive you want or for some reason want to go back to a previous dive without starting all over, use the "Light" button.

I use my HA for logging my dives. The only thing I get off my computer is the beginning and ending air pressure. I find the watch is just as accurate as the computer for log functions and is easier to download. The profile graph is better IMHO. The Internet Dive Log that I use... http://www.immersions.com/idl ...let's me download my watch directly into the program. I also have a hard copy logbook but having it in the internet gives me piece of mind in case something happens to my logbook.

Package arrived from Princeton watches as promised. I did not realize that the PC interface did not come with a cord. Hopefully, I have something that will fit the bill in a drawer somewhere. I'll try the watch out this weekend and try to set up the software on Sunday or Monday....
