I've been on it a couple of times this year. In the last month or so it has really cleared up! Better than the past 4 years!

The cannon ball rack is completely uncovered, as are the anchor and rudder post. Cool stuff!

jgarysmith:
Has anyone dove the Huron yet. I am told itis uncovered this year and is divable. Will be driving down to Nags Head on Sun 20 to give it a try. :eyebrow:

The Huron is on the Bladen St. beach access in Nags Head, just North of the Nags Head Fishing pier. As you walk over the dune, you should see a buoy about 250 off shore marking the boilers. Depth is 20' with my computer buried in the sand.

Allison Finch:
Could we get more info on this dive? distance from shore, depth, location etc.....

Glad to see so much interest, since I started the post. Both the Triangle wrecks and the Huron are great shore dives. Just like the earlier post from the OBX dive guy, east winds are best. We try to dive every week end. We drive down from the NN Hampton, VA area. Anybody interested let me know by private message or post. A fun inexpensive dive . Gary
