Has anyone had any customer service issues with Huish Outdoors? I love BARE, but not ready to deal with the problems anymore with customer service.
 
unfortunately there are definite issues there. not really sure why. maybe as simple as a lack of staffing since they expanded their line ??
it took me three weeks to get an answer via email on some questions i had about buying a new dry suit. they did a great job of answering all my questions in the end but three weeks? really ? and before anyone jumps in and asks why i did not call.....i work for a dealer and they tried calling several times on my behalf and could not get through to anyone.
i recently tried once again to reach them about some repairs i need done on my existing dry suit. i have emailed them 3 times. no response. it has been a week since the first email.
because of my job and hours etc it is much easier to fire off an email. calling is just not possible sometimes. my feeling has always been the same when it comes to providing a contact email for a business......if you are not going to answer emails in a timely manner and answer them fully, then don't offer that service.
the story i keep hearing online is that the service is slow in coming but it is good once you get through.
 
Ran into issues with both a brand new atomic reg and a brand new Hollis Neotek. It's been two months and I'm still waiting to hear back from them about my Hollis issue. The atomic got resolved, but it took weeks for them to agree to service what was a brand new, never used reg, and considerable back and forth to have them agree to pay for shipping. I was also left without a reg for several weeks while the issue was sorted out.

A friend of mine sent his BARE drysuit off to have a hole fixed. It came back with four holes. That was just one of a few issues. He said they're super nice but also super incompetent.
 
After repeated emails to Huish regarding a warranty issue with an Atomic Subframe mask, I gave up. That’s my recent experience.
 
There was a recent thread in which I participated about difficulties opening Hollis 2nd stage regulators for servicing. Huish said that the problem was that the user must have cross threaded them. That includes all 4 of mine, even the 2that had never been opened. Cross threaded--my fault--too bad. A major repair center told me that they routinely break the regulator covers and put new ones on as soon as they see they are stuck.
 
Rumor is they will prohibit the sale of atomic parts to end users too.
 
This is all dissapointing to hear about. I have had issues. On two different Cobalt computers and both times they took care of me. Once I told them I was leaving in 10 days for a FL Keys dive trip and they had a new computer to me in five days.
