It looks like Huawei have recently launched a dive watch with a 30 m radius sonar messaging capability, AI lists the key features as:-
  • Intuitive data display: The 3500-nit LTPO AMOLED screen ensures critical data is readable even underwater.
  • Real-time monitoring: Displays depth, time, ascent/descent rate, and nitrogen and helium loads for appropriate modes.
  • Calculations: The software uses the Bühlmann ZHL-16C decompression algorithm to provide guidance based on dive scenarios.
  • Alerts and reminders: The watch provides haptic and sound alerts for more than 20 diving statuses, including reminders for overspeed ascent and safety stops.
  • Post-dive logs: After a dive, a log is generated that can be synced with the Huawei Health app for review.
Early days but interesting to see if it is a challenger to either Apple Ultra or Garmin descent. I suspect it is possibly better than the Ultra 2 but not as good as the descent
