Hi, as you may have seen on a couple of other threads here, I'm moving to Brunei in a couple of months and interested to know what sort of exposure suits you tend to wear.

I'm heathly thin, and tend to feel the cold. I'm trying to decide between a shortie, a full suit or a 2 piece combination.

Just looking for some advice/guidance from the local divers.

Thanks,

J.

Although lots of divers use shorties, I'd go with a 3mm full suit. If you do a bunch of dives in a day, you'll appreciate it. If the jellies are out, you'll have extra protection.

A 2 piece is overkill. I use that here in korea. In SEA, I use the 3mm and everything is cool.

yes a full 3 mm is reasonable for diving around Borneo - Note some places in Asia can have colder water when a 5mm would come handy (e.g. some dive sites around Komdo, Philippines at certain times of the yea)

3mm is plenty, i used to dive in just a rash top but jellies and other bitey things have now got the better of me.
