Mike here from Ga. Im 22 years of age and I just got started back diving again.
I unfortunatly got away from diving bc I build Hot Rods. I work for Yearone if you guys
have heard of it. Anyways, I have mostly gone to Lake Lanier where you cant see
much. My room mate just got cert. so me and him are planning a trip to FL or to NC.
Any suggestions??? I just also picked up my wreck diving book and about to study that. I placed an add on the computer forum. Im looking to update my computer. My room mate got a Suunto Cobra but i prefere wrist. I was looking at the Suunto Vyper.
Im planning on expanding my skills so I want a computer that will be able to handel this. Anyway thats on th eother forum here. You guys have a great day

See Ya'll down under,
Mike

Mike,
I live west of Tampa Florida and for the last couple of months we have been experiencing Red Tide which in case you don't know kill thousands of fish. I love for divers to come enjoy the Florida waters but the coast of NC my be better for you. They have some great wreck diving there for sure.
Also, you are not too far from some great spring diving in north Florida. These are great in the winter because the water is a constant 72 degrees.

Welcome to the board!

Joe

Check out the Dixie Divers Forums, there's a group of Georgians there that call themselves the Looney Birds and they dive a buncha lakes in ATL.

Come-on down to the FL panhandle, no red tide, the water has been great recently(hopefully Katrina won't change that), and we have salt and freshwater sites.

Thanks for the info on the Dixie Diver's. Ill try and hunt them down and get to know them. You guys in Fl be safe w/ katrina coming through
